Have been to 21 The High Street a number of times; the get 2 Pizza's for 11.95 Monday was incredibly good value. Went full price Tuesday and the Pizza's were miniscule with very little topping. Very disappointed. I will go back and give it another try as I have enjoyed it so much previously, barr the flies fighting over the food in the kitchen and the sports television blaring out and men shouting next to the eating area. I'm beginning to wonder why I go.
Good trendy bar, good selection of drinks. Haven't eaten here but would happily give it a try as the open kitchen does look inviting! Nice cosy atmosphere.
Very nice balance here of traditional sports bar and Italian/ Spanish eatery. Freshly baked pizzas from own oven, with some very innovative seasonal toppings . Selection of tapas. Staff very pleasant and willing to help. Live music some nights. Right next to the brewery main gates, but doesn't have a brewery town feel - quite cosmopolitan in fact, but also retaining a local feel. And did I mention that the food was very good??
Just called into bar 21 for a drink. Ordered Bacardi and Coke.3.45. It did no taste right and took it back to the bar. I explained to the manager that it wasn't right and asked him if he could change it. He point blank refused. I asked him to taste it, which he said he wouldn't.. He told me that I would have to pay for another one!!!! This manager was truly out of order. I did not shout at him. I tried to tell him that I was unsatisfied. He was so rude. His customer service skills are nill! I will not be returning to bar 21 again!. I deal with the public and if someone complained I would do my very best to rectify it. As a business you must aim for 100% customer satisfaction. I rest my case.
Lovely atmosphere. Helpful staff. Food is lovely selling tapas and pizza only. Great drinking pud on a weekend. Always busy, up beat with 2 separate bars to cater for different age groups
